Capoeira!

with Jasper Jordan

Capoeira Angola is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines music, dance, self-defense, philosophy, history, theater and acrobatic movements. Enslaved Africans brought the roots of Capoeira Angola to Brazil, disguising the martial elements of this artform with music and singing. After the abolition of slavery, Capoeira Angola continued to develop as an instrument of freedom and resistance. Today, Capoeira Angola groups flourish throughout Brazil, around the world, and now at Sangha Yoga Studio. Call 706/ 613.1143 today to register for this 6 week course.
