ON-Going Events at the Healing Arts Centre

Amma Satsang

The 1st Sunday of EVERY MONTH at 5:30pm (please call to confirm) - FREE and Priceless!

Satsang is a Sanskrit word meaning a close association or companionship with a Self-Realized Soul. It can also refer to discussion or hearing of spiritual truths expressed by Self-Realized Masters. In the scorching heat of worldliness, being in the presence of a Master or a Master's teachings is like a cool breeze in the shade of a huge tree.

Please join us as we gather with some of Amma's longtime devotees for an inspiring evening of prayer, puja (sacred ceremony) and song. Known as The Hugging Saint, Amma (Mother) has physically hugged more than 26 million people from all parts of the world. Her tireless spirit of dedication to uplifting others over the past 38 years has inspired a vast network of charitable activities through which people are discovering the beauty and sense of peace that comes from selflessly serving others.

For more information, please see the organization's website at www.amma.org or call Meghan at (706) 613.1143

Saturday, February 11th   3:30-6:30pm  Partner Yoga Workshop

In this three-hour workshop, you will experience a potpourri of partner poses including:
    •    Partner Assists—one partner supports the positioning of the other. This allows the receiving partner to release muscular effort and find a sense of surrender and a place of power.
    •    Combinations—together partners perform different yet complementary postures facilitating effort and release.
    •    Mirror Images—partners share the simultaneous effort/ease of the same pose. This awakens a sense of the vital inner and outer energies that weave through a posture.

Partner yoga enhances the impact of your practice by:
    •    deepening and expanding the effects of the fundamental poses,
    •    improving the accessibility of more complex and demanding poses, and
    •    generating the sense of accomplishment, confidence, creativity and exploration essential for progress in your practice.

Yoga practice with a partner promotes laughter and relaxation.
BEWARE—THIS YOGA IS FUN!!  Come join other great beings for an afternoon of open-hearted yoga that you won't forget! You need not bring a partner, and if you do, it can be anyone-even a stranger! (
$30 per person)

Instructor Dr. Clare-Lynn Royce, RYT
began her yoga studies in 1979 and is a
nationally certified yoga instructor.
Dr. Royce's postdoctoral research at Emory University School of Medicine included research in degenerative diseases of bones and joints as well as musculoskeletal diseases.
