Meghan Burkeis the founder of the Healing Arts Centre, Sangha Yoga Studio and Remedy Herb Shop. A member of the Georgia Naturopathic Medical Association since 1993, Meghan draws from a deep well of knowledge and experience. In addition to offering private therapeutic yoga sessions, she is also a Reiki practitioner. Reiki is a hands-on therapy that assists the body's energy in flowing freely. This ancient art is effective in releasing blockages, conscious or unconscious, and facilitates healing on a mental, emotional and physical level. |

Michael Moore, CMT, NMT is a graduate of the Florida School of Massage and feels blessed to have been practicing bodywork for over 16 years. His services include Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Polarity Therapy, Injury evaluation and Treatment. Michael has experience working with the developmentally disabled as well as Hospice patients. He is a Reki Master that practices levels I and II as well as offering Reiki attunements. In addition to the other healing modalities, Michael is a Feldenkrais practitioner who completed the 4 year Training for Professionals and was certified by the Feldenkrais Guild in October of 2000. Michael is committed to assisting others in improving the quality of their lives. |

Dr. Kelly Simonson-Case is a licensed psychologist who has been providing quality counseling to adolescents and adults since 1994. She possesses generalist skills so can work with most issues (e.g., depression, anxiety, relationship issues, identity development, stress management, self-esteem, assertiveness) but also has specialized training and experience working with the following issues: eating disorders/ body image concerns, sexual assault/abuse recovery, sexual orientation and gender identity issues, relationship issues, self-injury and cultural concerns. Kelly received her doctorate in counseling psychology from The University of Akron, did her pre-doctoral training at the Counseling and Testing Center at the University of Georgia and did post-doctoral training at the Eating Disorders Recovery Center of Athens. She moved to Texas where she worked at the Texas Woman's University Counseling Center for seven years as the Cultural Diversity Liaison and Practicum Coordinator. She has taught undergraduate and graduate classes and provided facilitation, supervision, training and consultation for several universities, business organizations, and in private practice. She was excited to move back to the Athens area and to work at the Healing Arts Centre starting in 2008. |

Dr. Andy Case-Simonson received his Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University and his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington. He is a licensed psychologist in both Georgia and Florida. Possessing nearly 15 years of clinical experience, Andy's approach to therapy includes interpersonal, systems, and diversity-affirmative theories. From an interpersonal perspective, Andy examines the therapy process and utilizes feedback to increase client's interpersonal and intrapersonal awareness. From a systems perspective, Andy works to understand the rules and regulations that govern salient client systems (i.e. marital system, family system, work system) and how these systems influence client well-being. From a diversity-affirmative perspective, Andy works to co-construct an environment where clients feel safe and free to bring all the aspects of the self into therapy including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, size, ability, religion/spirituality, etc. Lastly, Andy focuses on creating a nurturing therapeutic relationship and safe counseling environment to facilitate sharing and risk taking in ways that optimize clients meeting their goals. |
